Today, we're announcing three new capabilities of Medallion's platform: a provider outreach agent, provider profile auto-fill, and webhooks.
Medallion customers can now:
- Reach providers who stall across phone, text, and email automatically — providers contacted this way are 8.2x more likely to complete their profiles, on average, with an estimated 20% lift in profile progress over email alone.
- Hand providers a profile that's already ~55% complete at median, drawn from NPPES, CAQH, and uploaded documents.
- Push enrollment and credentialing status changes into their own systems via API when an event fires, with no polling.
- Trace an auto-filled field back to the source that filled it, and outreach attempts to a logged, auditable record.
- Run these inside workflows they already have — no new tools, no separate integrations, and no additional cost for webhooks.
A system of record that takes action
Provider data platforms started life as systems of record: good at telling you what's incomplete, yet nearly quieter on doing anything about it. That's a reasonable place for a category to start and a limited place to stop. A completion percentage can tell a coordinator which twelve providers went quiet this week. It can't make the follow-up happen.
We've been building against that for a while — automated primary data source collection, AI agents that call payers and work portals for enrollment status, integrations that help keep data current across systems without necessarily needing to export a spreadsheet.
Today's release extends that into intake, where a lot of the manual hours have tended to hide.
Platforms that do the work will win
We think our category has reached the point where visibility alone isn't much of a product. Operations leaders can already see what's stuck. What they need is for fewer things to get stuck without someone having to notice.
That's a different bar than the one most provider management software was built to clear.
It means the platform initiates follow-up rather than reporting the lack of it. It means a profile can arrive populated rather than blank. It means a status change can reach the systems that depend on it without a person checking. Software that only surfaces the problem is going to feel increasingly thin next to software that helps close it.
Doing more of the work raises the bar on accountability
Here's the part we don't think is optional. Credentialing and enrollment are audit-bound processes, and the more a platform does on your behalf, the more it owes you a record of what it did.
So calls and texts the outreach agent places are logged. Fields auto-fill populates are attributable to their source, visible to admins and providers. Genuine data conflicts get flagged for a person rather than quietly resolved. Webhook payloads are signed. That doesn't shift your team's accountability onto us — your credentialing committee still owns its decisions and your compliance team still answers to your auditor. It gives them something to answer with.
Automation that can't show its work isn't faster. It's just harder to defend.
Getting started
Our Webhooks feature is available now and self-serve. If you're using Medallion's API or Integration Engine, you can register an HTTPS endpoint and start receiving events without help from us.
The provider profile auto-fill functionality is estimated to roll out to customers by the end of Q3, with the provider outreach agent coming by the end of the year.
If you're already working with us, your account team can walk through rollout timing for your organization. If you're evaluating Medallion, request a demo and we'll share more details with you then.
